Although classic, with many traditional details – decorative ceilings, herringbone wood floors and antique pieces, this home’s full of vibrant touches too, from dashes of bright colour to contemporary artworks. Here in Saint-Germain-des-Prés you’re close to some of the city’s most-visited spots, like the Invalides, the Grand Palais and, a little further away, the Louvre. This part of Paris is also dotted with upscale boutiques and brasseries, and it’s only a four-minute walk from here to the nearest metro station, Assemblée Nationale.

The bedrooms are tucked away on the second level up a floating staircase.
While not all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home. This apartment is a duplex with a floating staircase, so it may not suit those with limited mobility. Young children should be supervised on the stairs.
