Welcome to the Blue Grotto.
Named for the owners’ favorite cavern dive in central Florida, this dual master suite oasis is the perfect place to enjoy the gulf coast. The home features a large fenced in backyard and large outdoor patio space complete with an in-ground pool, 2 person hammock, and propane grill.
The space
The Blue Grotto can sleep 6. This assumes 2 couples, (1 couple per bedroom, 1 person on the couch and another on an air bed) Two bedrooms (1 King Bed and 1 Queen Murphy Bed) and two bathrooms, a bright and equipped kitchen and dedicated work station. The Queen bedroom doubles as a gym and is equipped with a Tonal smart gym and training subscription for the use of our guests. Simply stow the Murphy bed in the cabinet and enjoy a large area for workouts.
Guest access
The Grotto is not a shared space, guests will have access to entire property minus a few locked sheds/closets for storage of tools and materials. The door has a smart lock for self-check in.

An FYI for parents
Well behaved children are welcome however the home is not set up to be “kid friendly”. There are low reachable objects, hard edges, and light colored fabrics prone to staining.
The Town of Venice
The little town of Venice Florida is truly a hidden gem. About 30 miles south of the city of Sarasota, Venice feels closer to a beach town than a big city. But close enough to still enjoy to excellent entertainment of Sarasota if you’d like. Just a short drive away on Venice Island is a weekly farmers market, boutique shops, beautiful parks and landscapes, lunch cafes, lots of live music and dancing once the sun sets and of course it wouldn’t be a beach town without ice cream?!

Venice Florida is the shark teeth capital of the world! Less than 5 miles away you’ll have access to crystal clear waters and abundant shells and shark teeth. Public beach access points with ample parking, various restaurants and spectacular ocean views.

The Neighborhood Private Beach (Monthly Visitors Only)
Guests staying longer than 30 days are welcome to purchase a private beach ferry pass ($50 one time fee) through the South Venice Civic Center. This ferry (about 1.5 miles from the house) bring guests to a private beach area only accessible to those in our neighborhood.
