Welcome to the Blue Claw Cottage! This property is built for families- the two legged and four-legged kind. This fully remodeled vacation home is a short walk to the Delaware Bay beach where you will find sand, sun, and dolphin sightings. Take a stroll at dusk with your favorite beverage to experience the Delaware Bay’s award-winning sunset. Do not forget to bring along your dog, it is their vacation too! The Delaware Bay beach is pet-friendly after 4pm. If you prefer an ocean vibe, the nationally renowned, free Wildwood beach is a short 10-minute drive. Looking for adventure? Do not miss out on all that Morey’s Pier has to offer. From wild rides to curly fries, this boardwalk has everything for a family who knows how to have fun! Maybe Cape May Beach is more your style. Cape May is one of New Jersey’s crown jewels. You can tour the gingerbread style houses, attend a jazz festival, shop at the famous outdoor Washington Street Mall or just take a stroll on the promenade for ice cream. While relaxing on Cape May’s beach requires a beach tag, it is well worth it as the beach and the surrounding areas are pristine.
As far as night life is concerned, this cottage is centrally located between Cape May and Wildwood with bay front entertainment in between. You can spend your days on a wine tour or at a brewery. There is always live entertainment at the local distillery as well as many bay front restaurants. If you are a pet lover, then you will be happy to know that many of our local establishments will allow your four-legged friends to join in on the fun.
Do you want to just relax at the house with the family and friends? The Blue Claw Cottage has you covered. Nights can be filled with BBQs and enjoying the fenced in yard, perfect for children and dogs. We have yard games to keep the kids occupied while you sit and relax or send them to our custom designed game room to keep them entertained.
We want your family to reminisce about your summers at our cottage where you experienced the salty smells of the sea or braved the rides at Morey’s Pier while eating curly fries on the boardwalk. It is our hope that you enjoy the Villas by the Bay as much as we do.
Space Description:
Wake up in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee and spend some quiet time on the porch. There is a reading nook filled stories that will surely delight adult and child book lovers. The living room has plenty of seating for a family movie night. It includes a couch that pulls out into a large ottoman or a full queen-sized bed. If the kids want to watch something different, no problem. In the dining area, you will find another flat screen tv and pull-out sofa. This additional lounge space is perfect for families who want just to chill on their vacation.
The fully remodeled bathroom is equipped with plenty of fresh towels, soap, shampoo and toiletries. Ready to put the kids to bed or do you need a mid-day nap? Our two-bedroom cottage includes all linens, pillows, and blankets. The black out curtains hide the sun to provide the perfect sleep-in conditions that are required for vacation!
Hungry? Look no further as kitchen is stocked with all of the cooking essentials for the ideal meal. Stainless steel appliances, plateware, cookware, refrigerator, and a dishwasher are provided to give you all of the conveniences of home. Mix margaritas in the blender, cook freshly caught crabs in the steamer, or fry up some bacon for breakfast. No matter what you crave, this kitchen can accommodate.
If you had so much fun at the beach and you got a little too sandy? No worries, there is a private, outdoor shower and the mudroom includes a full-sized washer and dryer. For your convenience, there is laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets provided. Your four-legged friend will find their water and food bowl in this area so they can recharge and refresh on their vacation too!
Step out into the fenced in yard to enjoy the grill, deck, and play some yard games. All adults and kids alike can enjoy a game of frisbee golf, Can Jam, and corn hole. If you are in the mood for a family game night, look no further. The garage has been transformed into a game room that includes a flat screen tv which has the necessary equipment for any gaming console as well as bean bag chairs for your avid gamers- so bring those Xboxes down the shore. You will find a ping pong table, board games, and plenty of bar-style seating for everyone! This space is just like your very own private pub.
