The Space:
The house is situated minutes away from MacKinnon Brothers Brewery, Lake On The Mountain, and the best baked goods at Lodge Coffeehouse. Take a short drive to Prince Edward County and enjoy the vineyards and wine tours, vibrant restaurants and beach walks on the Sandbanks. But we wouldn't be surprised if you find yourself bbq'ing and enjoying drinks in the courtyard at Hambly House more often than not.
Living Room:
The living area is the centre of the house, featuring large windows and a vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden beams. Whether you're playing charades, cuddling up by the fire place or watching your favourite movie, there's a seat for everyone in this cozy living room. Cards and some of our favourite board games are also provided.
Kitchen/Dining:
A fully equipped kitchen for the days you want to stay in and share a family-style meal on the recycled mango wood table or al fresco on the back deck. The spacious kitchen and large centre island are the perfect combo for cooking while entertaining. Did we mention there's a butler's pantry? While it's been rebranded to "The Coop", this space is the perfect coffee station and a dream for cooking overflow or for hiding extra appliances.
Outdoor Spaces:
With 3 acres of land, the backyard is quiet and private - great for lawn games (we have horseshoes, jenga and cornhole - stored in the walkway between the house and the garage). The back deck features a bbq and an outdoor dining table. Don't forget to check out the shaded courtyard, which includes an outdoor lounge seating area - great for Happy Hour cocktails.
Sunroom:
A definite highlight at Hambly House, the sunroom features floor to ceiling windows and shiplap paneling. Enjoy your morning coffee with a view, play a round of cards in the afternoon or turn on the string lights and cuddle up with a glass of wine in the evening. This space is loved so much that while it is seasonal, we have tried our best to make it comfortable year round with an energy-efficient electric fireplace for colder evenings and a portable AC unit for hot summer nights.
The sunroom has a Queen pull-out couch that can sleep an extra 2 guests seasonally.
Working from home:
While there's no dedicated office space, Hambly House has mesh Wi-Fi and rest assured there are many spaces you can casually work from.
Bedrooms:
All 3 bedrooms feature memory foam mattresses and soft quality sheets. The sunroom has a Queen pull-out couch (seasonal) should you need the extra room.
Other:
The house has 9ft ceilings throughout. It is energy efficient and has a central air-purifier.

The Lennox & Addington County or Greater Napanee neighbourhood is known for its lakes/rivers, beaches, parks and amazing cycling/hiking trails. There are tons of activities to do in the area year round besides touring vineyards and breweries. From boating, paddle boarding and fishing to apple picking or visiting corn mazes and pumpkin patches. Located two hours from Toronto & Ottawa, three hours from Montreal.
Hambly House is a 25 minute drive to the Glenora Ferry to Prince Edward County.
