Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location is the best feature of this place, and the beautiful view. You have 4 subway lines within 10min walk and since dongdaemun is walking distance you can find restaurants and shops open 24/7. We even found a pharmacy inside the dongdaemun night market. There are many convenience stores and a couple of unmanned ramen shops also open 24/7. Also good was the fact that is a newly built building so we had no neighbors on either side of the apartment so it was quiet.

Negative: We had a long stay (35days) and when we booked this was a brand new listing with zero reviews. Booking has the option to set your arrival time and ask the owner if they can accommodate you at that time. We received the OK but when we arrived, we were greeted with the news that we had to wait till the check in time at 4pm. Not what you want after a long flight. She cited cleaning crew were working on the unit, but when we entered in the afternoon the apt was not that clean. There was a puddle of water next to the toilet, shower booth glass was dirrrrrrtaaaay!!! and the range hood had not seen a rag in months, was greasy+dusty. The apt needs a better stocked kitchen, there were no forks, no knifes, even chopsticks were uneven and very few. Also a toaster oven/airfryer for making toasts for breakfast and heating up food would be nice. There were also two separate occasions where the owner asked us if we could make time to have some repair work done in the apt. Shouldn’t she do that before or after our rental time??? I dunno… she was weird with her out of place requests.
