Residential Mount Eden is a lively inner-city community. Bookshops, vintage clothes stores, cafes and wine bars line Mount Eden Road, while Dominion Road has a number of popular Asian eateries, renowned for their dumplings. Our sunny apartment set in a residential block has all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay, short or long. Its shabby 1960s external appearance camouflages a contemporary comfortable space inside. The apartment includes one car park and provides easy access to motorways and the greater Auckland area.
Our Area
Residential Mount Eden is dominated by a volcanic peak also known as Maungawhau, with hiking and jogging trails leading to views over the Hauraki Gulf accessible at the end of our street. Right around the corner our world-famous All Blacks play rugby at Eden Park, where cricket matches also draw crowds.
Situated on the second floor and accessible via a small lift or two stairwells, the apartment is sunny and light, and equipped with all the essentials for a ‘home away from home’ experience. At a generous 71m2 the space is considered large for inner city Auckland. While the outside of the building is 1960s retro, inside the apartment is contemporary and clean, with comfortable furnishings including brand new beds in each bedroom. We believe that an enjoyable day is enhanced by a good night’s sleep so we invest in our beds! With a stove, microwave and dishwasher, the galley kitchen is fully equipped to prepare simple meals, but with some of Auckland’s best Asian restaurants right on your doorstep, you may be tempted to eat out!
The apartment includes one designated car park; if required extra parking space can be found on nearby side streets.
As we are in the hub of the city, close proximity to public transport does mean you will get some road noise, particularly pre and post work hours. It doesn’t usually worry us though as we prefer to be up and climbing Maungawhau before stopping off for coffee at that time of the morning.
Our ideal guest is likely to be 1-2 couples or small families looking for a comfortable short-term stay, or because the apartment is very liveable it is also well suited to a longer-term stay. Our ideal guest is an independent and active traveller who does not require a concierge or maid service during their stay.
Mt Eden is ethnically diverse, and this is reflected in the numerous nationalities that share our building. As the apartment is a residential building there is a strict noise policy, and any entertaining will need to be off site. You will need a security code to enter the building, as well as the apartment itself.

• We are unable to offer baggage storage beyond your check out times
• The apartment is not serviced during your stay and the cleaning fee is for an EXIT clean. The apartment should be left in a tidy condition.
